Tab Trade - The Short Version
TabTrade went live in March 2026. Online broker registered in Saint Lucia, under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a FMA-regulated broker.
The BlackBull connection tells you something. It means the founder has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. It is better than a random name you cannot trace.
They launched with Equinix data centre access in London. Same data centres institutional desks use. The typical new launch focuses on ads and sign-up promos. TabTrade did the opposite. Not the typical playbook.
What you can trade: forex, indices, metals, commodities, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For a platform this new, the breadth is solid.
What You Trade On
They offer: MT5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Both MT5 and cTrader from one account. Most brokers pick one platform. Getting both matters. Pick what suits your style.
MT5 is the industry standard. Full charting, EAs, massive community. If you have traded on a MetaQuotes platform previously, there are no surprises.
cTrader is the more modern one. Better DOM. More responsive charts. Built-in algo trading. Plenty of traders find it more natural after using both.
Direct FIX connectivity is there for automated strategies but requires the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView is reportedly on the roadmap. That will round things out when it arrives.
Accounts and Pricing
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Straightforward. No minimum deposit. Good for people who want simple pricing.
Edge account. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. Meaning your actual cost per trade sometimes sits under half a pip. That is cheap for an offshore broker. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade requires zero deposit.
VIP. $25k to open. FIX API, faster fills, custom pricing. Not something typical accounts. Ignore this one unless you trade institutionally.
Infrastructure
The speed is where this broker actually does something different. Equinix data centres. Under 30ms on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. That is proper execution targets. The average platform quote hundreds of milliseconds.
Does it matter? For short-term trading, it does. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you swing trade, it matters less. The point is they invested in proper execution. That is what kind of broker this is.
Pair that execution speed with the Edge account pricing and the total package makes sense. Not many platforms with no minimum deposit run Equinix connectivity.
Regulation
Here is the thing that matters. The broker is under the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a problem for you, stop reading. There are FCA-regulated options out there.
That said. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Fly-by-night platforms do not invest in proper execution infrastructure. This does not replace tier-1 regulation. It does inform your assessment.
What you are accepting: you trade regulatory safety. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off is worth it is your call.
Welcome Offer
TabTrade runs bonus funds of up to $2,000. Typical sign-up bonus. You fund your account, the broker top up your balance. The normal fine print: trading volume requirements before you can withdraw the bonus. Read the conditions before funding.
